Bri's birthday...5 months later...

Bri's birthday was in July, but I never posted the pictures. Here you go! A special thanks goes to Uncle Aaron and Aunt Rachel (who were visiting at the time) for making Bri's Strawberry Shortcake cake. It turned out super cute and it was so nice to have their help. I am also adding pics of when they were here.
Clay LOVED Aaron and went to him anytime Aaron's arms were free. It was so cute to watch. The kids spent a good bit of time dressing up and playing really well together. There were a few little spats here and there, but I think most of them were between siblings, not cousins. I'm really surprised at how well 7 kids got along for the week. The highlight of the week was Bri's birthday, but the "laundry soap incident" took a close second. You can see what the 5 older kids did one afternoon. The funniest part is that they thought to get the toy vacuum to try and clean it up. Too funny!

Ah, the laundry soap incident ...

I have to admit that some of the stories of Sabrina's acts of mischief were a little outrageous and I wondered if there was some level of exageration. I can firmly state that there was no need for such embellishment, she's very sneaky and very quiet. I thought that Brie was downstairs with the other kids watching "Enchanted" or "Finding Neverland" and was on the laptop screwing around. It wasn't until you and Rachel got home that it was discovered all the kids partook to some degree in the mess that ensued. I was so embarrassed.

The cake was fun to put together, made us think about how to do things to copy a picture. I was most proud of using scissors to cut a piece of bread in the shape of a strawberry to use as a base to stand up the cut out of Ms. Shortcake. We were glad to help out, and were greatful to you guys for opening your home to us to use as a crash pad for our summer vacation.
